Who is responsible

What we keep

• When you place an order: your name, mobile number, delivery address, PIN code, and — if you give them — your email and a note. We also keep what you ordered, the prices, delivery and gift-wrap choices, and whether you are paying on delivery.
• When you ask to be told about a product, sign up for news, or send us a message: your email, and whatever else you choose to type (name, phone, message).
• With each order or message: a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address and your browser type, so we can block abuse. We cannot turn the hash back into your address.
• Your cart, in a cookie on your own device, so it is still there when you come back. It contains only product codes and quantities.

What we don't do

• We don't take card or bank details on this website. Payment today is cash on delivery or arranged with you directly.
• We don't use advertising trackers, analytics services or social media pixels.
• We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for anything except the reason you gave it to us.

Why we use it

• To confirm your order with you, deliver it and handle any problem with it.
• To answer your message, or email you when a product you asked about launches.
• To send the newsletter, only if you signed up for it.
• To keep the tax records the law requires.

Who else sees it

• Our family team, who handle orders.
• Our web host, GoDaddy, whose servers store the website, its database and the emails it sends us.
• The courier, who receives your name, phone and address to deliver your parcel.
• WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to order or talk to us on WhatsApp.
• If online payment is added in future, the payment company will receive what it needs to take the payment, and this page will be updated first.

How long we keep it

• Orders, including your contact and delivery details: 8 years, because Indian tax (GST) law requires us to keep records of sales for about that long.
• Requests to be told about a product: until it launches and we have told you, then up to 1 year.
• Messages you send us: up to 2 years.
• Newsletter signups: until you ask us to stop.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or erase it, and you can withdraw your consent to newsletters at any time. Email [email protected]. We will erase what we can; order records that tax law requires us to keep are kept until that period ends, and used for nothing else. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Many of our products are for children, but this website is for the adults buying them. Please don't send us a child's personal details. If a child has, ask us and we will remove them.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Order details are visible only to the family, behind a password. Internet addresses are stored only in scrambled form.

Changes

If what we keep or why changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
